IRATA Level 1Training

  • Beginners with no prior rope access experience.
  • Individuals looking to start a career in rope access.
  • 18 years must be completed.

Course Content

  • Basic rope access techniques (ascending, descending, rope transfers).
  • Equipment use, maintenance, and inspection.
  • Knots, rigging, and basic anchor systems.
  • Basic rescue techniques.( Descend Mood)
  • Safety procedures, hazard awareness, and risk assessment.

Duration & Assessment

  • Typically 5-6 days (including training and assessment).
  • Assessment by an independent IRATA assessor on the final day.
  • Successful candidates receive an IRATA Level 1 certificate, valid for three years.
